My background is as an investment banker and management consultant turned academic. I am interested in the intersection of corporate finance and corporate strategy, typically with an international focus. That said, my research and blog are of interest to academics and those in industry. Topics include IPOs, M&A, corporate competitiveness, international business, the future of higher education, misguided education policy in the U.S., and a few others.
While I am a professor by day, I am also a frequent speaker, an investor in numerous funds and start-ups, a member of various boards, and most importantly, a husband to Kim and father of Spencer and Annika.
